The Jazz, founded in 1974, are home to one of the most notorious duos in NBA history; Karl Malone and John Stockton. Though they never managed to win a championship, these two made the Jazz a highly dominant team. The Jazz play in EnergySolutions Arena.

Utah Jazz Ticket Information
After relocating to Utah in 1979, the former New Orleans Jazz kept quiet, but were building a franchise that would later be dominant in the NBA. After making it to the playoffs in 1984, the Jazz made the first of two excellent draft selections. In 1984, they selected little-known John Stockton. A decision opposed by many fans. The following year, the Jazz selected Karl "The Mailman" Malone in the 1985 NBA draft. Stockton and Malone proved to be one of the most successful duos in NBA history.

In Malone's first season, the Jazz reached the playoffs, but lost in the first round to the Dallas Mavericks. The following years yielded multiple playoff appearances, but none more defining than the second round matchup with Los Angeles. Despite ultimately losing the series, the Jazz surprised the Lakers by taking the series to a game seven, proving they were a more established team than the Jazz of recent years.

In the 1996-1997 season, Malone won his first NBA MVP award, and pushed the team to the NBA finals, where they met Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls won the series 4-2. The following year, the Jazz went 62-20 for the season. They ripped through the playoffs, only to lose to the Bulls once again in game 6.
