In the second round of the playoffs, the Cavaliers suffered a shocking upset to the Boston Celtics in 6 games.

The following year, Cleveland was the center of one of the most heavily-publicized controversies in sports history. LeBron James announced his departure from Cleveland to play with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The city of Cleveland was outraged, calling LeBron's move a "Cowardly betrayal."
